Cody founded Rhino in 1986 after identifying a gap in the market during his career as a real estate broker and advisor for large master-planned developments throughout San Diego. Working closely with model homes and sales offices — the critical first impression for residences marketing new construction — he noticed these spaces were consistently underserved when it came to cleanliness and presentation.

To solve that gap, he launched The Models Only Company, delivering the level of detail and care that model home marketing deserved. As demand grew, particularly as commercial development skyrocketed, so did the business — expanding beyond model homes into high-level office space, life science buildings, industrial properties, and large-scale facilities management. That evolution became Rhino Building Services, Inc.

Today, under Cody’s leadership, Rhino remains the premier solution for full-service commercial building maintenance, trusted by long-term partners to continue delivering the highest quality and service for over 40 years.

Cody holds a B.S. from San Diego State University. You’ll find several of his paintings throughout the office, and might just catch him in his 1965 Porsche 356C on the weekends.
